Packing Up

Long time, no see on this journal, huh? Well, I figured it was time to get over the fact that I can't keep this Batman-theme up forever, but I might as well end it with an entry worth taking it down for.

The year's started off great for me so far, and I hope it started off with the same good fortune for those of you reading. With the start of a good year, though, is the fact that this year will be one with a number of changes. I'll be graduating from college at the beginning of May, and it's coming down to the time for making a final decision on what I want to do next with my life. Law school (depending on the LSAT score I get), pursuing a Masters in Public Administration, or going into the military seem to be the top three options I have thus far. But either one of them will be a major change from what I'm doing now, which is why I've been so busy laying the groundwork for whichever one I choose.

Obviously, I'm not the only one preparing for change. I wouldn't be much of a Political Science major if I failed to mention the big celebrations being prepared for in Washington DC as the term of George W. Bush comes to an end. The city is going to be quite full, as many people want to be present for when it happens. My family is leaving together to go to Washington DC to be in town for Obama's swearing-in, as are many, MANY others who will be filling up the Mall area to witness the event. However, thanks to privileges given to me as a Presidential Classroom alumni, I myself have been given an opportunity to good to pass up:

I will be receiving a ticket to Official Inaugural events of the Fifty-Sixth Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the United States, featuring incoming President Barack H. Obama. [link]

Granted, I don't yet know where our spot is going to be, though I doubt in will be in one of those conveniently placed seats. I'm trying to get this stuff packed, my itinerary together, and this tuxedo fitted just right for the Ball I'll be attending afterwards. When I get the chance, I'll report again on how things are going up there for this incoming Administration's fresh start. Til next time!

Due to the fact that I am currently LIVING in Silicon Hell, MSN has stopped working for me.

In answer to your question, I'm applying for a 9 day one, involves living in a hospital for 9 days, and pays about $2000.

Vive la révolution libertaire, mon ~TBSchemer!

Thomas Paine wrote "The Rights of Man," not "The Privileges of Law Abiding Citizens That Aren't Brown People or Praying to Allah"
:iconazuresquire:
Sounds good. My only hope that you get a reprieve and get at least into Silicon Purgatory. I'll be sure to pay more indulgences for it.

Here's a fun fact to make you smile:

The king of hearts is the only king without a moustache.

Think about that :3

I'll have you know that I played Legend of Zelda: Master Quest at my friend's house yesterday and managed to complete the first two dungeons in one sitting.

And thus I clothe my naked villainy with old odd ends stolen forth from holy writ and seem a saint, when most I play the devil.

So, how long did it take ya? I haven't picked the game up in years.
:iconslothincarnate:
Hm... if I had to guess, I'd say about 2 hours, but maybe a little more or little less. My sense of time while playing video games is not great. I got stuck at one point in Dodongo's Cavern (and for a rather silly reason), but aside from that, it went fairly well.

The dungeons are so strange compared to the ones from Ocarina of Time. :wow:
